No.223 of 2009\n\n                 ---------------------------------------------------\n\n             Dated this the 16th day of February, 2009.\n\n\n                                     ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>           Petition for anticipatory bail.\n<\/p>\n<p>           2. The alleged offence is under Sections 9 and 10 of<\/p>\n<p>the Prevention of Corruption Act. According to prosecution,<\/p>\n<p>petitioner was    travelling along with first accused, who is the<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Commissioner of Transport. The car in which they were<\/p>\n<p>travelling was intercepted by the authorities concerned in the<\/p>\n<p>presence of Deputy Superintendent of Police and Rs.35,000\/- was<\/p>\n<p>taken from the possession of the petitioner and a crime was<\/p>\n<p>registered under the above said section.<\/p>\n<p>           3. Learned Public Prosecutor submitted that, though a<\/p>\n<p>a crime is registered against the petitioner, police                   has no<\/p>\n<p>intention to arrest him. This submission is recorded. Hence, no<\/p>\n<p>ground exists to grant anticipatory bail to petitioner.<\/p>\n<p>           4. If the petitioner is required for arrest and<\/p>\n<p>interrogation, he shall be given notice in writing well in advance,<\/p>\n<p>giving reasonable time for appearance before the police                    in<\/p>\n<p>accordance with law and there is a direction accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>      This petition is disposed of accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>                                                       K.
