Justice ANTONY DOMINIC\n\n Dated :11\/06\/2007\n\n O R D E R\n\n\n                             K.S.Radhakrishnan\n\n                                          &amp;\n\n                             Antony Dominic, JJ.\n\n                ========================\n\n                            W.A.No.738 of 2002\n\n                ========================\n\n\n                Dated this the 11th  day of June, 2007.\n\n\n                                   JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>Radhakrishnan,J.\n<\/p>\n<p>         Original Petition was preferred by the appellants seeking a writ of<\/p>\n<p>certiorari to quash Exts.P5 and P10 and for a mandamus directing the<\/p>\n<p>respondents   to   readmit   the   petitioners   on   duty   and   regularise   their<\/p>\n<p>services   with   effect   from   10.4.1986,   2.4.1986   and   1.4.1986<\/p>\n<p>respectively and for other consequential reliefs.   Learned single Judge<\/p>\n<p>found no reason  to interfere  with the Original Petition.   A decision in<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/doc\/176700153\/\">Jacob v. Kerala Water Authority<\/a> &#8211; 1990(2) K.L.T. 673 was cited to<\/p>\n<p>show that the services of workers employed by the Authority between<\/p>\n<p>1st April, 1984 and 4th August, 1986 will be regularised if they possess<\/p>\n<p>the   requisite   qualifications   for   the   post   prescribed   on   the   date   of<\/p>\n<p>appointment   of   the   concerned   worker.     Admittedly,   petitioners&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>services have been terminated much before the date of the decision of<\/p>\n<p>the Apex Court.  Hence the direction for regularisation does not cover<\/p>\n<p>persons   like   the   petitioners.
