Respondents\n\n\nPrayer\n\nPetition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying\nfor the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to\nconsider the petitioner's representation dated 12.10.2009 seeking to take\nnecessary action for constructing of permanent houses to the petitioner as\nTsunami victim within the period that may be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.\n\n!For petitioner\t ... Mr.K.M.Vijayakumar\n\t\t     Special Government Pleader\n\n\n:ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>\tHeard Mr.J.Prabhu, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the<br \/>\npetitioner, as well as Mr.K.M.Vijayakumar, the learned Special Government<br \/>\nPleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel<br \/>\nappearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice, if<br \/>\nthe representation of the petitioner, dated 12.10.2009, is directed to be<br \/>\ndisposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the<br \/>\nrespondents, has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t4. In view of the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of this<br \/>\npetition and in view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on<br \/>\nbehalf of the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to consider and<br \/>\ndispose of the petitioner&#8217;s representation, dated 12.10.2009, on merits and in<br \/>\naccordance with law,  within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt<br \/>\nof a copy of this order.  The petitioner is directed to submit a copy of the<br \/>\nrepresentation, dated 12.10.2009, along with a copy of this order, to the first<br \/>\nrespondent. However, it is made clear, that this Court, by this order, has not<br \/>\nexpressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t5. The writ petition stands disposed of, with the above directions.
