Now she<\/p>\n<p>                  is looking for better avenues by asking for a direction for<\/p>\n<p>                  her appointment on Class III post.\n<\/p>\n<p>                          Law is already there in this regard. It is well<\/p>\n<p>                  settled by this Court in various decisions that<\/p>\n<p>                  appointment on compassionate ground is only a<\/p>\n<p>                  mechanism to reach out to the family in distress and not a<\/p>\n<p>                  mechanism to acquire higher post and privilege.<\/p>\n<p>                  Petitioner has been appointed on Class IV post and there<\/p>\n<p>                  is no law by virtue of which she can be directed to be<\/p>\n<p>                  promoted to the next higher post or appointed on the next<\/p>\n<p>                  higher post especially when she has been appointed<\/p>\n<p>                  under a special circumstance not satisfying the touch<\/p>\n<p>                  stone of Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India.<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                           -2-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>                No direction can be given in this regard.
