Justice S.SIRI JAGAN\n\n Dated :31\/07\/2007\n\n O R D E R\n                        S.SIRI JAGAN,J\n                   ================\n                    W.P.(C).No.21672 of 2007\n               ======================\n               Dated this the 31st day of July 2007\n\n\n                           JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>      Petitioners are students of the 4th semester LLB three year<\/p>\n<p>course of the Government Law College, Ernakulam. Their 4th<\/p>\n<p>semester examination was scheduled to be conducted on<\/p>\n<p>24.11.2006.     The petitioners alleges that since they were<\/p>\n<p>prevented from writing the examination by other students they<\/p>\n<p>could not write that examination on that day.        None of the<\/p>\n<p>students of the college wrote the examination also. Although the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners expected that the examination would be rescheduled,<\/p>\n<p>the University took a stand that no reexamination would be<\/p>\n<p>conducted. In the above circumstances petitioners approached<\/p>\n<p>this Court with this writ petition seeking a direction to the<\/p>\n<p>University to permit the petitioners to write the examination<\/p>\n<p>along with the 8th semester students of the five year course since<\/p>\n<p>both examinations are identical. When it was pointed out that<\/p>\n<p>the schemes of the two examinations are different and students<\/p>\n<p>of one scheme cannot be allowed write examination of the other<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C).No.21672\/2007<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                              :2:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>scheme, the petitioners sought a direction to the University to<\/p>\n<p>conduct a supplementary examination.       The learned standing<\/p>\n<p>counsel for the University submits that since in semester systems<\/p>\n<p>no supplementary examination are being conducted and<\/p>\n<p>petitioners have to write the next regular examination which<\/p>\n<p>would be conducted as far as possible within another two<\/p>\n<p>months.
