Case No. 20 of 1994 by learned<br \/>\nSpecial Judge, Amreli, by which the sole respondent-accused has been<br \/>\nacquitted of the offences under Section 13(1)(d) read with  Section<br \/>\n13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.\t\tMr.\n<\/p>\n<p>Bhavin S. Raiyani, learned advocate for the sole respondent accused,<br \/>\nhas filed a note dated 8.1.2011 before the Registrar of this Court<br \/>\npraying to list the above numbered Criminal Appeal on board in view<br \/>\nof the fact that the sole respondent-accused has expired on 4.7.2010.<br \/>\nHe has also annexed Death Certificate of the sole respondent-accused.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.\t\tPursuant<br \/>\nthereto, the Registry has placed the above numbered Criminal Appeal<br \/>\nbefore us for passing appropriate orders.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.\t\tAt<br \/>\nthe time of hearing of this appeal, Mr. Dabhi, learned APP, has<br \/>\nplaced on record the communication dated 13.1.2011 sent by the Police<br \/>\nInspector, Amreli, ACB Police Station, Amreli, addressed to the<br \/>\nPublic Prosecutor of the High Court, Ahmedabad, along with statement<br \/>\nof Shailesh Ravisinh, son of the sole respondent-accused as well as<br \/>\nDeath Certificate of the sole respondent-accused.\n<\/p>\n<p>5.\t\tUpon<br \/>\nperusal of the Death Certificate issued by the Chief Officer, Amreli<br \/>\nNagarpalika and the statement of Shailesh Ravisinh, son of the<br \/>\nrespondent-accused, we have noticed that the sole respondent accused<br \/>\nhas died on 4.7.2010.\n<\/p>\n<p>6.<br \/>\nIn view of this, the instant Criminal Appeal filed by the State of<br \/>\nGujarat against the sole respondent-accused deserves to be abated.\n<\/p>\n<p>7.\t\tHence<br \/>\nthe appeal stands abated.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                                                (A.M.\n<\/p>\n<p>KAPADIA, J)<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t(BANKIM<br \/>\nN.
