The<\/p>\n<p>counsel for the petitioner is also present. The Assistant<\/p>\n<p>Executive Engineer, Kerala State Electricity Board is also<\/p>\n<p>present representing the respondent. In the order of the Lok<\/p>\n<p>Adalat dated 21.05.2008, it was recorded that the petitioner will<\/p>\n<p>file a petition for One Time Settlement and it will be considered<\/p>\n<p>by the K.S.E.B. Accordingly, the petition was filed by<\/p>\n<p>Smt.Vijayamma, the widow of the petitioner.          As per the<\/p>\n<p>proceedings of the Deputy Chief Engineer, Electrical Circle,<\/p>\n<p>Kottayam, dated 25.6.2008, sanction was accorded to allow the<\/p>\n<p>consumer No.10005, Electrical Section, Ettumanoor to remit the<\/p>\n<p>outstanding arrears on One Time Settlement basis with 12%<\/p>\n<p>surcharge per annum. The above statement is recorded. In the<\/p>\n<p>judgment dated 10th July 2006, in O.P.No.33821 of 2002, filed by<\/p>\n<p>the very same petitioner, this Court held that there will not be<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C).No.22398\/2003<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>any interest on interest. Therefore, while making settlement, the<\/p>\n<p>Board will take into consideration the above observation of this<\/p>\n<p>Court, that there will not be any interest on interest and the<\/p>\n<p>above settlement will be in accordance with the rules governing<\/p>\n<p>the One Time Settlement.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                    C.S.RAJAN<br \/>\n                      (RETD.
