SUJAN CHAKRABORTY <\/a>(<a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=JADAVPUR\">JADAVPUR<\/a>):\u00a0 Sir, thousands of transport workers from different parts of the country have assembled in Delhi.\u00a0 The transport workers are representing all modes of transport like bus, truck, etc.\u00a0\u00a0 They are demonstrating here for a very important cause.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>Sir, you know that the road conditions in different parts of the country are very bad.\u00a0\u00a0 In spite of the imposition of cess, the condition of roads is very bad.\u00a0 Thereby, the cost of transport is also increasing and no proper planning is being done.\u00a0 You also know that the public sector transport which was the backbone of our road transport is now on the verge of ruin in almost all parts of the country.\u00a0 Road transport is important for the people and that is not being maintained properly.\u00a0 The conditions of thousands of workers in the transport sector are very bad.\u00a0 They do not have facilities like provident fund and other social security schemes.\u00a0 So, they are demanding and I also demand that the Government should look into the issues of those workers and frame a very comprehensive National Transport Policy in the interest of the country.\u00a0 I would request you, Sir, to kindly instruct the concerned Ministry in this regard.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p><a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=SHRI%20SUNIL%20KHAN%20\">SHRI SUNIL KHAN <\/a>(<a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=DURGAPUR\">DURGAPUR<\/a>):\u00a0 Sir, I would like to associate with what he has said.\u2026 (Interruptions)\n<\/p>\n<p>MR.
