(Oral)\n<\/pre>\n<p>             The petitioner was working with Food Corporation of India as<br \/>\nHouse Watchman on regular basis. He retired from service on 31.1.2002. It<br \/>\nis the case of the petitioner that immediately after the retirement, the<br \/>\npetitioner approached the respondents for release of his pension etc., but the<br \/>\nrespondents have not considered his prayer till date in spite of many<br \/>\nrepresentations made to them.\n<\/p>\n<p>             Learned counsel for the petitioner states that legal notice<br \/>\n(Annexure P10) was also given to the respondents on 30.9.2008, but till<br \/>\ndate even no decision has been taken on the said legal notice.\n<\/p>\n<p>             In view of the above, without issuing notice to the other side as<br \/>\nit will unnecessarily delay the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with<br \/>\na direction to the Regional Manager, Food Corporation of India, Sector 31,<br \/>\nChandigarh to consider and decide the said legal notice as expeditiously as<br \/>\npossible and preferably within a period of three months.\n<\/p>\n<pre>March 30, 2009                           (SATISH KUMAR MITTAL)\nvkg                                              JUDGE\n <\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Punjab-Haryana High Court Mann Singh vs State Of Punjab And Others on 30 March, 2009 IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH C.W.P.
