Gupta, J. (Presiding Member)<\/p>\n<p>1. Petitioners were the complainants. Respondents \/opposite parties raised additional bill of Rs. 38,956.65 towards electricity Consumption charges on petitioner No. 2. Questioning the correctness of this bill the petitioners filed complaint which was contested by the respondents. District Forum dismissed the complaint. Dissatisfied with District Forum&#8217;s order the petitioners filed appeal which too was dismissed by the State Commission by the order dated 17.1.2000 under challenge on the ground that petitioner No. 2 had already challenged the bill before the appellate committee and Consumer For a could not sit in appeal over the decision of appellate committee pursuant to the order dated 8.2.2006 the petitioners have filed the copy of the Regulations providing for constitution of appellate committee. These regulations being statutory having been framed in exercise of power conferred by Clauses (j) and (k) of Section 79 of the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948 by Gujarat Electricity Board by respondent No. 2 and petitioner No. 2. Admittedly having availed of remedy of appeal against the said bill before the appellate committee constituted under the Regulations, we do not find any illegality or jurisdictional error in the approach of the State Commission in dismissing appeal in said ground.
