Joseph, J.\n<\/p>\n<p>     The prayers in the writ petition are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>   i) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or other<\/p>\n<p>   appropriate writ, order or direction commanding<\/p>\n<p>   respondents 1 and 2 to afford adequate and effective<\/p>\n<p>   police protection to the petitioner and his family to<\/p>\n<p>   continue with the peaceful enjoyment and possession<\/p>\n<p>   of property of the petitioner having an extent of 5<\/p>\n<p>   cents of land in survey No. 780\/1 A (Resurvey No.<\/p>\n<p>   233\/2-1) in Vennikulam Muri, Puramattom Village,<\/p>\n<p>   Mallappally Taluk, Pathanamthitta District without any<\/p>\n<p>   threat and obstruction from respondents 3 to 7 or their<\/p>\n<p>   henchmen.\n<\/p>\n<p>    ii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or other<\/p>\n<p>    appropriate writ, order or direction commanding<\/p>\n<p>    respondents 1 and 2 to afford adequate and effective<\/p>\n<p>    police protection to the life of the petitioner and his<\/p>\n<p>    family   free   from   threat   or   obstruction  from<\/p>\n<p>    respondents 3 to 7 or anybody under them.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">35643\/2009                      -2-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>      iii) Issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate<\/p>\n<p>      writ, order or direction directing first respondent to<\/p>\n<p>      consider and take appropriate action on Ext.P4.<\/p>\n<p>      2. A perusal of the writ petition would show that two suits<\/p>\n<p>are pending.     One filed by the petitioner and other filed by<\/p>\n<p>respondents 3 and 4.\n<\/p>\n<p>      3. We feel that this is not a fit case to direct the police to<\/p>\n<p>give protection. It is for the petitioner to work out his remedy<\/p>\n<p>before the competent civil court. Without prejudice to the right<\/p>\n<p>of the petitioner to urge all contentions before the appropriate<\/p>\n<p>forum, this writ petition is dismissed.<\/p>\n<p>                                                  Sd\/-\n<\/p>\n<p>                                       K.M.
