{"id":71879,"date":"2002-03-22T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2002-03-21T18:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/judgments\/message-from-rajya-sabha-regarding-adoption-of-the-motion-for-on-22-march-2002"},"modified":"2015-09-01T22:43:38","modified_gmt":"2015-09-01T17:13:38","slug":"message-from-rajya-sabha-regarding-adoption-of-the-motion-for-on-22-march-2002","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/judgments\/message-from-rajya-sabha-regarding-adoption-of-the-motion-for-on-22-march-2002","title":{"rendered":"Message From Rajya Sabha Regarding Adoption Of The Motion For &#8230; on 22 March, 2002"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"docsource_main\">Lok Sabha Debates<\/div>\n<div class=\"doc_title\">Message From Rajya Sabha Regarding Adoption Of The Motion For &#8230; on 22 March, 2002<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<pre><\/pre>\n<p>     12.04 hrs. <\/p>\n<p><a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=Title\">Title<\/a>: Message from Rajya Sabha regarding adoption of the motion for withdrawal of the Indian Post Office (Amendment) Bill, 1986 and its disagreement to consider the Prevention of Terrorism Bill, 2002 at its sitting held on 21st March, 2002. <\/p>\n<p>SECRETARY-GENERAL: Sir, I have to report the following message received from the Secretary-General of Rajya Sabha: &#8211;\n<\/p>\n<p>(i) &#8220;I am directed to inform the Lok Sabha that the Rajya Sabha at its sitting held on Thursday, the 21st March, 2002 adopted the following motion in regard to the Indian Post Office (Amendment) Bill, 1986 which was passed by the Houses of Parliament and returned by the President for consideration under the proviso to article 111 of the Constituion of India:-\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p> MOTION<br \/>\n\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That leave be granted to withdraw the Indian Post Office (Amendment) Bill, 1986, which was passed by the Houses of Parliament and returned by the President for reconsideration under the proviso to article 111 of the Constitution of India&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0   Thereafter, the Bill was withdrawn.&#8221;&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>( ii) &#8220;I am directed to inform the Lok Sabha that the Rajya Sabha, at its sitting held on the 21st March, 2002, considered the Prevention of Terrorism Bill, 2002, which was passed by the Lok Sabha at its sitting held on the 18th March, 2002, and the Bill was not agreed to by the Rajya Sabha, the motion that the bill be taken into consideration having been negatived by the Rajya Sabha.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lok Sabha Debates Message From Rajya Sabha Regarding Adoption Of The Motion For &#8230; on 22 March, 2002 12.04 hrs.
