RAVIKUMAR, J.\n                   --------------------------------------------\n                      W.P.(C) NO. 37528 OF 2009\n                   --------------------------------------------\n                  Dated this the 29th day of January, 2010\n\n\n                                JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>      The petitioner is an applicant for the post of Last Grade Servant.<\/p>\n<p>The first respondent conducted due selection process for the said purpose.<\/p>\n<p>Apprehending that the petitioner would not be considered as a Latin<\/p>\n<p>Catholic and would not be given the benefit of reservation extended to the<\/p>\n<p>Latin Catholic Community, treating her as included in the non-creamy<\/p>\n<p>layer, this Writ Petition is filed for a direction to the respondents to<\/p>\n<p>include her name in the supplementary list for Latin Catholics.<\/p>\n<p>      2.   When the matter came up for admission, learned Standing<\/p>\n<p>Counsel for the      Public Service Commission               made available the<\/p>\n<p>communication received from the first respondent, No. AVI (2)<\/p>\n<p>123\/2010\/GW dated 8.1.2010, which contains the following statement:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>                   &#8220;The petitioner Smt. Sharlet. C. was given<br \/>\n             the community benefit of LC considering her<br \/>\n             Non Creamy Layer Certificate (Ext.P4) and was<br \/>\n             included in the Supplementary list of the Ranked<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">                                       2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>             List to the post of Last Grade Servant in various<br \/>\n             Department in Kozhikode District (Ranked List<br \/>\n             No.224\/08\/KKD. Category No.056\/06 published<br \/>\n             on 18.09.2008) assigning Rank No.121.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>      3. It is thus evident from the above said communication that the<\/p>\n<p>grievance of the petitioner has been redressed. After giving the benefit<\/p>\n<p>extended to Latin Catholic, she has been included in the supplementary<\/p>\n<p>rank list and assigned rank No.121.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>      The Writ Petition is, therefore, closed.<\/p>\n<p>                                  (C.T.
