Justice P.BHAVADASAN\n\n Dated :22\/09\/2010\n\n O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>      THOTTATHIL.B.RADHAKRISHNAN &amp; P.BHAVADASAN, JJ.\n<\/p>\n<p>     &#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;\n<\/p>\n<p>                            DBP No.57 of 2010\n<\/p>\n<p>     &#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;\n<\/p>\n<p>                     Dated 22nd September 2010<\/p>\n<p>                                     Order<\/p>\n<p>Thottathil.B.Radhakrishnan, J.\n<\/p>\n<p>             The Temple Advisory Committee of Keeramkuzhi<\/p>\n<p>Vishnumaheswara Temple in Ernakulam District filed a<\/p>\n<p>complaint before the Ombudsman. The learned Ombudsman<\/p>\n<p>visited the temple and has filed a report, after considering<\/p>\n<p>different aspects. He has also taken into consideration, the<\/p>\n<p>statement of income and expenditure of the temple. The<\/p>\n<p>Temple Advisory Committee&#8217;s request was forwarded to the<\/p>\n<p>Devaswom Commissioner by the learned Ombudsman on<\/p>\n<p>12.08.2009.        However, there was no response from the<\/p>\n<p>Devaswom Board or the Devaswom Commissioner. The<\/p>\n<p>learned Ombudsman, has therefore, considered the entire<\/p>\n<p>matter and has filed the report, suggesting that there would be<\/p>\n<p>a general progress and higher income, if one more part-time<\/p>\n<p>santhi is appointed in the temple and the temple tank is<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">DBP 57\/10                         2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>renovated with half walls on all sides. He has also stated that<\/p>\n<p>there is scope for expansion and the local devotees are also<\/p>\n<p>interested in the improvement of the temple. Taking into<\/p>\n<p>consideration the fact that the Devaswom Board or the<\/p>\n<p>Devaswom Commissioner has not taken any objection to the<\/p>\n<p>request of the Temple Advisory Committee before the learned<\/p>\n<p>Ombudsman, we are of the view that the suggestions of the<\/p>\n<p>learned Ombudsman are only to be accepted.<\/p>\n<p>           In the result, accepting the report of the learned<\/p>\n<p>Ombudsman, we order that the Travancore Devaswom Board<\/p>\n<p>will create one more post of part-time santhi in the aforesaid<\/p>\n<p>temple and the maramath wing of the Travancore Devaswom<\/p>\n<p>Board shall ensure that the temple tank is renovated<\/p>\n<p>appropriately. It shall be ensured that the creation of and<\/p>\n<p>appointment to the additional post of part-time santhi, in terms<\/p>\n<p>of this order shall be made within a period of six months from<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">DBP 57\/10                            3<\/span><\/p>\n<p>now.
