The trial court sentenced him to undergo\n\n\nsimple imprisonment for a period of one month and to pay   compensation\n\n\nof   Rs.40,000\/-   and   in   default   of   payment   of   compensation,   to   undergo\n\n\nsimple imprisonment for a period of   one month. On appeal, the appellate\n\n\ncourt confirmed the conviction and sentence  and dismissed the appeal.\n\n\n          2.   Crl.M.A.No. 12097 of 2006 was filed by the complainant as well\n\n\nas the accused under section  147 of the Negotiable Instruments Act   and\n\n\nthat application was allowed.\n\n\n          In the result, the Crl.  Revision Petition   is  allowed.   The conviction\n\n\nand sentence imposed on the petitioner\/accused are set aside and he is\n\n\nacquitted under section 320(8) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n                                                                                    K.T. The<\/p>\n<p>petitioner challenged the conviction and sentence in Appeal.  The appellate<\/p>\n<p>court confirmed the conviction and sentence and dismissed the Appeal.\n<\/p>\n<p>          2.  Crl.M.A.No. 12089 of 2006 filed by the parties under section 147<\/p>\n<p>of the Negotiable Instruments Act  was allowed.  Accordingly, Crl. Revision<\/p>\n<p>Petition   is   allowed. It   was   replied   by   the   counsel   for   the   petitioner<\/p>\n<p>stating   that     the   copy   was   ready   only     on   17.11.2006. It  is<\/p>\n<p>also not noted as to whether any date was notified for receiving the copy.
