KUMAR, J.\n<\/pre>\n<p>             This petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution<\/p>\n<p>prays for issuance of direction to the respondents to release the goods<\/p>\n<p>belonging to the petitioner on furnishing surety bond as per the<\/p>\n<p>provisions of the Punjab Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (for brevity,<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;the Act&#8217;). The petitioner has also prayed for quashing of detention<\/p>\n<p>notice dated 6.1.2009 (P-6) issued by the Excise and Taxation<\/p>\n<p>Officer-cum-Detaining Officer-respondent No. 2, show cause notice<\/p>\n<p>dated 8.1.2009 (P-9) under Section 51(7)(c) of the Act, issued by the<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\"> CWP No. 596 of 2009                                                  2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Assistant   Excise     and   Taxation    Commissioner,     Ludhiana-III-<\/p>\n<p>respondent No. 3 as well as subsequent proceedings thereto.<\/p>\n<p>               At the hearing, learned counsel for the parties states that<\/p>\n<p>the goods stands released and the matter has been rendered<\/p>\n<p>infructuous.\n<\/p>\n<p>               Ordered accordingly.
