Even the Vizag Steel Plant is also located there.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Recently, a new runway was completed and handed over to the Airport Authorities.\u00a0New flights are running there.\u00a0But in spite of the night landing facilities provided there, the flights are not operating during night time. That Airport belongs to the Defence people.\u00a0 It is due to lack of infrastructure and staff that the night landing facilities are not operating there.\u00a0 The concerned file is pending with the Ministry of Finance for sanction of posts.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Now, as a number of people are flying from Visakhapatnam to Singapore, Malaysia and other countries,\u00a0 I would request the Government of India to initiate immediate action to sanction posts for the Defence Ministry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lok Sabha Debates Need To Extend Night Landing Facility At Vishakhapatnam Airport. on 30 August, 2007 &gt; Title: Need to extend night landing facility at Vishakhapatnam Airport.
