APP (DB) No.934 of 2007\n                                  JITENDRA SINGH\n                                         Versus\n                                  STATE OF BIHAR\n                                       -----------\n<\/pre>\n<p>5   10.7.2008              Heard learned counsel for the appellant and learned counsel<\/p>\n<p>                for the State in respect of IA No.520 of 2008 through which the<\/p>\n<p>                appellant has renewed his prayer for bail which was earlier rejected on<\/p>\n<p>                29.8.2007.\n<\/p>\n<p>                           It has been submitted that award of life imprisonment in a<\/p>\n<p>                case under section 307 IPC is excessive and the appellant has<\/p>\n<p>                remained in custody since 20.6.2006 i.e. for more than two years.<\/p>\n<p>                           A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the informant<\/p>\n<p>                to urge that appellant is involved in at least two other cases as per<\/p>\n<p>                knowledge of the informant. Since the copy of the counter affidavit<\/p>\n<p>                has not been served on the other side, let the same be ignored.<\/p>\n<p>                           Considering that the injury caused to the PW 1 is in chest<\/p>\n<p>                and by a firearm, the prayer of the appellant for bail is rejected for the<\/p>\n<p>                present.
