Justice ANTONY DOMINIC\n\n Dated :10\/09\/2007\n\n O R D E R\n                     ANTONY DOMINIC, J.\n                    ===============\n             W.P.(C) NOs. 24474 &amp; 24576 OF 2007\n           ==========================\n\n          Dated this the 10th day of September, 2007\n\n                        J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>      In the Syndicate meeting held on 30.12.2005, the<\/p>\n<p>Syndicate resolved to grant affiliation to courses in various<\/p>\n<p>colleges. In so far as the petitioner in WPC No.24474\/07 is<\/p>\n<p>concerned, affiliation granted is for BA Journalism and Mass<\/p>\n<p>Communication and       Video Production.   In so far as the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner in WPC No.24576\/07 is concerned, the course is<\/p>\n<p>B.Com with Hotel Management. However, formal orders of<\/p>\n<p>affiliation is not issued in these cases, for the reason that<\/p>\n<p>the University is still now awaiting the views of the<\/p>\n<p>Government.\n<\/p>\n<p>      2.   The learned Government Pleader submits that<\/p>\n<p>views of the Government have not been conveyed to the<\/p>\n<p>University. This issue has been considered in various cases<\/p>\n<p>by this court. Petitioners have produced Exhibits P5 and P6,<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C) NOs. 24474 &amp; 24576 OF 2007<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                : 2 :<\/span><\/p>\n<p>two judgments, in which this Court has dealt with the issue.<\/p>\n<p>It is settled law that the University does not have to wait<\/p>\n<p>indefinitely for the views of the Government and it is the<\/p>\n<p>views of the University that matters finally in an issue like<\/p>\n<p>this.\n<\/p>\n<p>     3.
