Sharma\nFACTS<\/pre>\n<p>:\n<\/p>\n<p>       This appellant has sought information under RTI Act by his application dated<br \/>\n6.3.2007 requesting information from PIO, Bank of Baroda, Nagpur against four heads.<br \/>\nThe main query of the appellant is he would like to be provided with number of days in<br \/>\nwhich he has worked as temporary staff in Akola branch for the last five years and he<br \/>\nalso requested for the daily wage earned by him during that period. Then he has<br \/>\nrequested for correspondence between Nagpur branch and Akola branch and action<br \/>\ntaken in respect of the request made by him. The PIO furnished his reply vide letter<br \/>\ndated 22.03.2007. Dissatisfied with the reply furnished by CPIO the appellant preferred<br \/>\nan appeal on 7.4.2001, which was disposed of by the AA on 4.6.2007. Again aggrieved<br \/>\nwith the said decision, the appellant preferred this appeal before the Commission.<br \/>\nComments were called for from the public authority on 4.3.2008, which was received<br \/>\nfrom DGM &amp; AA on 12.6.2008.\n<\/p>\n<p>DECISION:\n<\/p>\n<p>2.     This case came up for hearing on 28.7.2008, which was attended by the<br \/>\nappellant in person along with his relative. The public authority was attended by the<br \/>\nfollowing officials:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>                     Mr. S.K. Das, DGM &amp; First AA<br \/>\n                     Mr. R.B. Gupta, AGM &amp; PIO<br \/>\n                     Mr. Priya Kumar, Manager<\/p>\n<p>I have gone through the RTI application and other replies received in this connection.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The PIO has provided information with reference to number of days the appellant has<br \/>\nworked from the year 2001 to 2006. In respect of correspondence exchanged between<br \/>\nNagpur and Akola Branch it is internal matter which will not be provided by the PIO. He<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                                 1<\/span><br \/>\n has also provided information pertaining to the wage payment made to the appellant.<br \/>\nThe AA while disposing of the appeal has indicated in his reply that he is satisfied with<br \/>\nthe information provided by the PIO. During the hearing, the appellant has stated there<br \/>\nis some discrepancy regarding number of days he has worked during the year 2001 to<br \/>\n2006. In this connection, in case if he has got some records to show that he has worked<br \/>\nfor more number of days he is advised to submit those records to PIO and who will<br \/>\nverify those records with reference to Bank records and give him suitable reply.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.      In respect, wages, though the Bank has provided information with regard to the<br \/>\nwage he has earned during the period there is lot of discrepancy. It is learnt during the<br \/>\nhearing they have shown him vouchers which includes not only wages but other<br \/>\nexpenditure incurred by the bank on that particular day. This information will not be<br \/>\nhelpful to the appellant. I, therefore, direct the PIO to provide the concerned records for<br \/>\ninspection of the appellant on a mutually convenient date and after carrying out<br \/>\nverification he can request for copies which is relevant to him. In that case, the PIO will<br \/>\nprovide those copies within 15 days. In this connection, the PIO stated that providing<br \/>\nvouchers for five years would be a Herculean task since it consists of so many<br \/>\nvouchers. I, therefore, request the appellant to limit his requirement to last two years so<br \/>\nthat it will enable the Bank to show the vouchers. During the hearing, it has been fixed<br \/>\nthat the appellant will carry out verification at Akola branch on 20th and 21st August,<br \/>\n2008 in the presence of PIO of Bank of Baroda, Nagpur. It is also brought to the notice<br \/>\nduring the hearing the appellant has been giving threatening calls to Bank staff in<br \/>\nrespect of his RTI application, which will not be entertained. I, therefore, advise the<br \/>\nappellant not to resort to this method in future. As far as CPIO is concerned, he has to<br \/>\nmaintain proper atmosphere to carry out the inspection in Akola branch. After receipt of<br \/>\ninformation if the appellant is still aggrieved he is at liberty to file his appeal before the<br \/>\nfirst AA.
