         The petitioner has approached this Court with the<\/p>\n
following prayers:\n<\/p>\n
                   “i) To call for the entire records leading<\/p>\n
          upto Exhibit P4 and to quash the same by the<\/p>\n
          issuance of a writ of certiorari or any other<\/p>\n
          writ, direction or order.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
                   ii)        To issue a writ of                                 mandamus<\/p>\n
          compelling the respondents to shift the energy<\/p>\n
          meter and connection of consumer                                             Number<\/p>\n
          878 as shown in Ext.P5 without insisting on<\/p>\n
          the conditions laid down in Ext.P4.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
                   iii) to issue any other order or direction<\/p>\n
          as this Honourable court may deem fit and<\/p>\n
          proper in the nature and circumstances of the<\/p>\n
          case; and<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
                   iv) to award the cost of the petitioner in<\/p>\n
          these proceedings.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

      2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the<\/p>\n
subject matter in dispute is to have the ‘meter’ shifted from the<\/p>\n
premises where it is now situated, which actually belongs to<\/p>\n
the brother of the petitioner as on date, by virtue of partition<\/p>\n
effected in the meanwhile and to have the same installed at the<\/p>\n
premises of the petitioner, stating that the petitioner is ready<\/p>\n
and willing to satisfy all necessary requirements, since the line<\/p>\n
can be drawn providing such connection directly to the premises<\/p>\n
of the petitioner,     from the line    and post standing on the<\/p>\n
‘eastern side’ of the property of the petitioner .<\/p>\n
      3.    The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the<\/p>\n
respondent Board submits that an additional counter affidavit<\/p>\n
has been filed today, wherein it is stated that the Board is ready<\/p>\n
and willing to provide electric connection directly to the<\/p>\n
petitioner’s premises    from the line and post    situated on the<\/p>\n
‘eastern side’ of the property and to have the ‘meter’ shifted from<\/p>\n
the building\/premises belonging to the brother of the petitioner,<\/p>\n
on condition that the petitioner deposits a sum of Rs.1016\/- as<\/p>\n
cost    under various heads and also executes            necessary<\/p>\n

agreement, indemnity bond etc. as prescribed.<\/p>\n
     4. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the<\/p>\n
above requirements will be satisfied forthwith. On complying<\/p>\n
with the conditions as above, the respondent Board shall provide<\/p>\n
electric connection to the     premises of the petitioner   within<\/p>\n
‘three’ days thereafter. It is also made clear that if there is any<\/p>\n
hindrance to take back the ‘meter’ from the existing premises,<\/p>\n
the Board is at liberty to approach the police authorities for<\/p>\n
necessary assistance and on such an event, the same shall be<\/p>\n
provided by the authorities concerned, on production of a copy<\/p>\n
of the judgment. The entire proceedings shall be completed by<\/p>\n
the ‘Board’ within a period of one week from the date of receipt<\/p>\n
of a copy of this judgment.\n<\/p>\n
     The Writ Petition is disposed of.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
