( Oral )<\/p>\n<p>            Learned counsel for the petitioners states in view of the fact<\/p>\n<p>that the Voluntary Retirement Scheme, 2002 (hereinafter referred to as `the<\/p>\n<p>VRS, 2002&#8242;), which was notified on 24.2.2003, has ceased to exist after six<\/p>\n<p>months, it may be taken that the petitioners did not opt for the voluntary<\/p>\n<p>retirement under the VRS, 2002.
