Justice K.R.UDAYABHANU\n\n Dated :15\/02\/2007\n\n O R D E R\n                             K.R.UDAYABHANU, J\n\n                      ---------------------------------------------\n\n                        CRL.R.P.No. 710  of 2007\n\n                      ---------------------------------------------\n\n             Dated this the 15th day of February, 2007\n\n\n\n                                       ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>       Revision   petitioner   stands   convicted  for   the   offence   under<\/p>\n<p>Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and sentenced, as<\/p>\n<p>modified by the appellate court, to undergo imprisonment till the<\/p>\n<p>rising   of   the   court   and   to   pay   a   sum   of   Rs.75,000\/-   as<\/p>\n<p>compensation   and   in   default,   to   undergo   simple   imprisonment<\/p>\n<p>for a period of three months.\n<\/p>\n<p>       2.    Learned   counsel   for   the   revision   petitioner   has   only<\/p>\n<p>sought   for   time   to   make   the   payment   of   compensation.     He<\/p>\n<p>submitted that the revision petitioner is in acute financial crisis.\n<\/p>\n<p>In   the   circumstance,   the   revision   petitioner   is   granted   six<\/p>\n<p>month&#8217;s   time   to   make   the   payment   of   the   compensation.     He<\/p>\n<p>shall   appear   before   the   Judicial   First   Class   Magistrate   Court-\n<\/p>\n<p>Vadakara   on   16.8.2007   to   receive   the   sentence.
