Justice V.GIRI\n\n Dated :20\/10\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                         V.GIRI,J.\n\n            ----------------------------------------\n             W.P ( C) No.27809 of 2008\n            ----------------------------------------\n\n           Dated this the 20th October, 2008\n\n\n                   J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>          Petitioners claim to be in possession<\/p>\n<p>of different extents of land in the Chinnakanal<\/p>\n<p>Village and claim assignment of the same under<\/p>\n<p>the provisions of the Land Assignment Act.                They<\/p>\n<p>had approached this court earlier in W.P.(C)<\/p>\n<p>No.31903\/03, which was disposed of under Ext.P6<\/p>\n<p>judgment. The same is to the following effect.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>        &#8220;The only prayer is for a direction to<\/p>\n<p>    the District Collector to consider and<\/p>\n<p>    pass orders on the application filed by<\/p>\n<p>    the petitioners for assignment of land<\/p>\n<p>    vide Ext.P5.        The W.P. is disposed of<\/p>\n<p>    directing the District Collector to look<\/p>\n<p>    into the representation, conduct enquiry<\/p>\n<p>    and  consider      the      same      based     on the<\/p>\n<p>    provisions of the Land Acquisition Act,<\/p>\n<p>    Rules  and     the      norms       issued      by the<\/p>\n<p>    Government in this regard.                  A decision<\/p>\n<p>    will be taken within a period of four<\/p>\n<p>    months from the date of production of a<\/p>\n<p>    copy of this judgment by the petitioner<\/p>\n<p>    after hearing the petitioners and after<\/p>\n<p>    collecting evidence.&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>W.P.(C).NO.27809\/08<\/p>\n<p>                      :: 2 ::\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>          2. The petitioners have a grievance<\/p>\n<p>that the direction issued in Ext.P6 has not been<\/p>\n<p>complied with.
