At present the total number of foreign        The number of foreigner students enrolled students in<br \/>\n         students in the universities.                 various courses of the Universities as under:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>                                                       2005-06=1055<br \/>\n                                                       2006-07=1417<br \/>\n                                                       2007-08=113<br \/>\n The First Appellate Authority Ordered:\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The PIO vide his decision supplied the number of foreigner students enrolled in the University.<br \/>\n&#8220;The details such as names, country which they belong, there results, etc. has no relation with any<br \/>\npublic interest and therefore, there is no need to disclose this information as the same is exempted<br \/>\nunder Section 8(1)(j) of the Act.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>Relevant Facts emerging during Hearing:<br \/>\nThe following were present<br \/>\nAppellant: Mr.Amit Chamaria<br \/>\nRespondent: Mr. Deepak Vats, PIO<br \/>\nThe appellant pointed out that there can be no issue of privacy. He also showed that Jamia<br \/>\nMillia gives all this information.
