Justice R.BASANT\n\n Dated :17\/10\/2007\n\n O R D E R\n                                R.BASANT, J\n                        ------------------------------------\n                         B.A.No.6333 of 2007\n                        -------------------------------------\n               Dated this the 17th day of October, 2007\n\n                                    ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>      Application for regular bail.         Petitioners are accused 1 and 2.<\/p>\n<p>Altogether there are 2 accused persons. They were allegedly involved<\/p>\n<p>in an incident of chain snatching on 28.08.07 at about 9.30 a.m. The<\/p>\n<p>petitioners were apprehended by the members of the public.                    The<\/p>\n<p>stolen article was recovered also. The petitioners escaped from the<\/p>\n<p>custody of the police.     They were later arrested on 28.08.07 and<\/p>\n<p>29.08.07 respectively. They continue in custody from those dates.<\/p>\n<p>      2.    The learned Public Prosecutor                 opposes the application.<\/p>\n<p>The learned Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioners have long<\/p>\n<p>record of criminal antecedents.          They are involved in several other<\/p>\n<p>similar crimes. The investigation in this crime is not complete. After<\/p>\n<p>arrest in this case, they had escaped from custody also. In any view<\/p>\n<p>of the matter, the petitioners may not be enlarged on bail at this<\/p>\n<p>stage.\n<\/p>\n<p>      3.    Having considered all the relevant inputs, I find merit in<\/p>\n<p>the opposition by the learned Public Prosecutor.                I agree that the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners are not now entitled to be enlarged on bail.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">B.A.No.6333 of 2007                 2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>      4.    This application for regular bail is, in these circumstances,<\/p>\n<p>dismissed, but with the observation that the petitioners shall be at<\/p>\n<p>liberty to move    this Court for bail again at a later stage of the<\/p>\n<p>investigation &#8211; not, at any rate, prior to 31.10.07.
