He sought photocopy of his application form, name of Directors\npresent in sitting in which her application was rejected, reasons\/grounds for rejecting her\napplication, total members included in Income Oath Certificate during last 6 months. The\nAppellant sought information vide five points.\n\nPIO's Reply:\nThe Chairman\/CEO, Janta Cooperative Bank Ltd., New Delhi-02 was directed by the PIO vide\nletter dated 10\/09\/2009 for supply information directly to the Appellant under\/section 2(f) of\nDCS Act 2003.. Since all the information asked pertains to the Bank &amp; nothing relating to the\noffice of the RCS.\n\nGrounds for First Appeal:\nInformation was not provided.\n\nOrder of the First Appellate Authority:\n\"I have gone documents filed with regard to the appeal and find information asked by the\nappellant pertains to the bank and not from the office of SPIO. It is clarified that bank being\ncooperative society is not a public authority under Right to Information Act and therefore the\ninformation available with the bank is not accessible under the RTI ACT, 2005. This view has\nbeen supported by CIC vide their decision no.
