Justice V.GIRI\n\n Dated :15\/10\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                           V.GIRI, J.\n          -------------------------\n                W.P.(C).No.30187 of 2008\n          -------------------------\n           Dated this the 15th day of October, 2008.\n\n\n                        JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>           The service, which was being operated on the<\/p>\n<p>route Madathara-Kallambalam, came to a stop and<\/p>\n<p>therefore, there arose a vacancy. The petitioner filed an<\/p>\n<p>application for a regular permit on 10.8.2006 vide Ext.P2.<\/p>\n<p>Since the concurrence from the Regional Transport<\/p>\n<p>Authority, Kollam is necessary, a decision on the application<\/p>\n<p>for regular permit is yet to be taken. The petitioner submits<\/p>\n<p>that Exts.P4 and P5 representations have been submitted by<\/p>\n<p>persons from all walks of life. There has been delay in the<\/p>\n<p>grant of regular permit. In the meantime, the petitioner has<\/p>\n<p>been conducting service on the strength of a temporary<\/p>\n<p>permit.    But since the period of temporary permit has<\/p>\n<p>expired, he has filed Ext.P6 application for the re-issue of a<\/p>\n<p>temporary permit, which is pending. The writ petition has<\/p>\n<p>been filed alleging non-consideration of the application.<\/p>\n<p>           In the result, the writ petition is disposed of<\/p>\n<p>directing the 2nd respondent to pass orders on Ext.P6 within<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C).NO.30187\/08<\/p>\n<p>                           :: 2 ::\n<\/p>\n<p>a period one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this<\/p>\n<p>judgment. Insofar as the application for regular permit is<\/p>\n<p>concerned, the same is already pending consideration before<\/p>\n<p>the 1st respondent.
