CPIO \u00a0 denied \u00a0 disclosure \u00a0 of \u00a0 information \u00a0 on \u00a0 the\u00a0<br \/>\ngrounds \u00a0 that \u00a0 the \u00a0 Police \u00a0 Welfare \u00a0 Fund \u00a0 was \u00a0 a \u00a0 private\u00a0<br \/>\nfund \u00a0 and \u00a0 not \u00a0 under \u00a0 the \u00a0 control \u00a0 of \u00a0 any \u00a0 Public\u00a0<br \/>\nAuthority \u00a0 and, \u00a0 therefore, \u00a0 was \u00a0 not \u00a0 accessible \u00a0 to \u00a0 the\u00a0<br \/>\nPublic \u00a0 Authority \u00a0 as \u00a0 per \u00a0 \u00a0 the \u00a0 provisions \u00a0 of \u00a0 Section\u00a0<br \/>\n2(j)\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Act.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.    In \u00a0 his \u00a0 appeal \u00a0 dated \u00a0 23.9.2009 \u00a0 submitted \u00a0 before\u00a0<br \/>\nthe \u00a0 First \u00a0 Appellate \u00a0 Authority, \u00a0 the \u00a0 appellant \u00a0 argued\u00a0<br \/>\nthat\u00a0the\u00a0Police\u00a0Welfare\u00a0Fund\u00a0have\u00a0received\u00a0money\u00a0from\u00a0<br \/>\nthe \u00a0Government \u00a0and, \u00a0therefore, \u00a0information \u00a0 should \u00a0be\u00a0<br \/>\nprovided.\n<\/p>\n<p>                               Appeal\u00a0:\u00a0No.\u00a0CIC\/DS\/A\/2011\/000578\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>4.    The \u00a0 First \u00a0 Appellate \u00a0 Authority \u00a0 after \u00a0 giving\u00a0<br \/>\nopportunity \u00a0 of \u00a0 hearing \u00a0 to \u00a0 the \u00a0 appellant \u00a0 issued \u00a0 a\u00a0<br \/>\nspeaking \u00a0 order \u00a0 on \u00a0 8.10.2009, \u00a0 in \u00a0 which \u00a0 he \u00a0 reiterated\u00a0<br \/>\nthat\u00a0the\u00a0Police\u00a0Welfare\u00a0Fund\u00a0was\u00a0not\u00a0a\u00a0beneficiary\u00a0of\u00a0<br \/>\nany\u00a0grant\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0Government\u00a0and\u00a0was\u00a0purely\u00a0private\u00a0<br \/>\nfund\u00a0and\u00a0dismissed\u00a0the\u00a0appeal.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>5.
