was\u00a0present\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0Jhansi\u00a0studio\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0NIC.\u00a0The\u00a0Respondents\u00a0representing\u00a0the\u00a0<\/p>\n
Central\u00a0Bank\u00a0of\u00a0India\u00a0was\u00a0also\u00a0present\u00a0in\u00a0that\u00a0studio.\u00a0Nobody\u00a0representing\u00a0the\u00a0<\/p>\n
Punjab\u00a0National\u00a0Bank\u00a0attended\u00a0the\u00a0hearing\u00a0in\u00a0spite\u00a0of\u00a0notice.\u00a0We\u00a0heard\u00a0the\u00a0<\/p>\n
submissions\u00a0of\u00a0those\u00a0present\u00a0during\u00a0the\u00a0hearing.<\/p>\n
3.      In\u00a0his\u00a0application\u00a0addressed\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0CPIO\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Central\u00a0Bank\u00a0of\u00a0India,\u00a0the\u00a0<\/p>\n
Appellant\u00a0had\u00a0requested\u00a0for\u00a0a\u00a0copy\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0latest\u00a0audit\u00a0report\u00a0of\u00a0a\u00a0particular\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n Branch\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Bank\u00a0and\u00a0had\u00a0also\u00a0wanted\u00a0to\u00a0know\u00a0about\u00a0the\u00a0safety\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0locker\u00a0<\/p>\n
and\u00a0the\u00a0chest\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Branch.\u00a0In\u00a0his\u00a0application\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0Punjab\u00a0National\u00a0Bank,\u00a0<\/p>\n
however,\u00a0he\u00a0had\u00a0wanted\u00a0to\u00a0know\u00a0about\u00a0the\u00a0loss\u00a0incurred\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0locker\u00a0owners\u00a0<\/p>\n
of\u00a0a\u00a0particular\u00a0Branch\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Bank\u00a0in\u00a0Delhi\u00a0on\u00a0account\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0robbery\u00a0committed\u00a0<\/p>\n
in\u00a0that\u00a0Branch.\u00a0In\u00a0the\u00a0former\u00a0case,\u00a0the\u00a0CPIO\u00a0had\u00a0informed\u00a0him\u00a0that\u00a0a\u00a0FIR\u00a0had\u00a0<\/p>\n
been\u00a0registered\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0police\u00a0station\u00a0about\u00a0the\u00a0incident\u00a0concerning\u00a0the\u00a0locker\u00a0<\/p>\n
and\u00a0that\u00a0the\u00a0police\u00a0was\u00a0enquiring\u00a0into\u00a0the\u00a0case\u00a0and\u00a0that\u00a0the\u00a0desired\u00a0information\u00a0<\/p>\n
could\u00a0not,\u00a0therefore,\u00a0be\u00a0disclosed\u00a0as\u00a0it\u00a0might\u00a0adversely\u00a0affect\u00a0the\u00a0investigation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Appellate\u00a0Authority,\u00a0however,\u00a0provided\u00a0some\u00a0information\u00a0regarding\u00a0some\u00a0<\/p>\n
of\u00a0his\u00a0queries\u00a0in\u00a0his\u00a0order.\u00a0In\u00a0the\u00a0case\u00a0relating\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0Punjab\u00a0National\u00a0Bank,\u00a0the\u00a0<\/p>\n
CPIO\u00a0and\u00a0Appellate\u00a0Authority\u00a0both\u00a0denied\u00a0the\u00a0information\u00a0by\u00a0claiming\u00a0that\u00a0it\u00a0<\/p>\n
related\u00a0to\u00a0third\u00adparty\u00a0customers\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0Bank\u00a0and\u00a0could\u00a0not\u00a0be\u00a0disclosed.<\/p>\n
4.      After\u00a0carefully\u00a0considering\u00a0 the\u00a0facts\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0case\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0submissions\u00a0<\/p>\n
made\u00a0before\u00a0us,\u00a0we\u00a0think\u00a0that\u00a0the\u00a0following\u00a0information\u00a0should\u00a0be\u00a0provided\u00a0by\u00a0<\/p>\n
the\u00a0respective\u00a0CPIO:\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
i) \u00a0 the \u00a0 photocopy \u00a0 of \u00a0 the \u00a0 relevant \u00a0 documents \u00a0 showing \u00a0 the \u00a0 purchase \u00a0 and\u00a0<\/p>\n
installation\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0chest\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0locker\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0particular\u00a0Branch\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Central\u00a0<\/p>\n
Bank\u00a0of\u00a0India;\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
ii)\u00a0the\u00a0photocopy\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0relevant\u00a0guidelines\u00a0issued\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0Reserve\u00a0Bank\u00a0of\u00a0India\u00a0<\/p>\n
laying\u00a0down\u00a0the\u00a0technical\u00a0parameters\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0chest\/locker\u00a0to\u00a0be\u00a0installed\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0<\/p>\n
Bank;\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
iii)\u00a0the\u00a0photocopy\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0guidelines\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Punjab\u00a0National\u00a0Bank\u00a0based\u00a0on\u00a0which\u00a0<\/p>\n
compensation\u00a0was\u00a0worked\u00a0out\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0loss\u00a0incurred\u00a0by\u00a0individual\u00a0locker\u00a0owners\u00a0<\/p>\n
of\u00a0their\u00a0Branch\u00a0in\u00a0Delhi\u00a0where\u00a0the\u00a0robbery\u00a0had\u00a0taken\u00a0place\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0lockers\u00a0<\/p>\n
opened\u00a0forcibly.\n<\/p>\n
