Mr.R.Manoharan\n\t \t    Government Advocate\n\n:ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>\tHeard Mr.R.A.S.Anandaraj, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the<br \/>\npetitioner, as well as Mr.R.Manoharan, the learned Government Advocate appearing<br \/>\non behalf of the respondents.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel<br \/>\nappearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice, if<br \/>\nthe third respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner&#8217;s application,<br \/>\ndated 15.12.2008, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified<br \/>\nperiod.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t3. The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents,<br \/>\nhas no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t4. In view of the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of this<br \/>\npetition and in view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on<br \/>\nbehalf of the petitioner, the third respondent is directed to consider and<br \/>\ndispose of the petitioner&#8217;s application, dated 15.12.2008, after giving an<br \/>\nopportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as well as to the other persons<br \/>\nconcerned, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks<br \/>\nfrom the date of receipt of a copy of this order.  The petitioner is directed to<br \/>\nsubmit a copy of the application, dated 15.12.2008, to the third respondent,<br \/>\nalong with a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court, by<br \/>\nthis order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t5. The writ petition stands disposed of, with the above directions.
