BASANT, J.\n                    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n                    Crl.M.C.No. 2495 of 2007\n                    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n            Dated this the 28th day of September, 2007\n\n                                 O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>      The petitioners, three in number, have come before this Court<\/p>\n<p>aggrieved by the direction issued to them by the Investigating Officer<\/p>\n<p>in Crime No.39 of 2007 of Panoor Police Station registered, inter alia,<\/p>\n<p>under Section 302 I.P.C. relating to the murder of an advocate. The<\/p>\n<p>petitioners did not appear and consequently coercive proceedings<\/p>\n<p>have been initiated against the petitioners. The learned counsel for<\/p>\n<p>the petitioners submits that the petitioners are               unable to appear<\/p>\n<p>before the Investigating Officer at the place where they are<\/p>\n<p>summoned, i.e. Panoor police station, as the petitioners apprehend<\/p>\n<p>danger to their lives. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits<\/p>\n<p>that the petitioners are willing to appear before the Investigating<\/p>\n<p>Officer and co-operate with the investigation, but prays that the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners may not be compelled to proceed to Kannur District,<\/p>\n<p>where they apprehend danger.\n<\/p>\n<p>Crl.M.C.No. 2495 of 2007<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                      2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>       2.   The learned Prosecutor submits that the Investigator shall be<\/p>\n<p>satisfied if the petitioners would co-operate with the Investigator and make<\/p>\n<p>themselves available for interrogation. The request of the petitioners can<\/p>\n<p>be accommodated. They may be directed to appear before the Investigating<\/p>\n<p>Officer at the Police Club at Kozhikode on any specified date, submits the<\/p>\n<p>learned Prosecutor.\n<\/p>\n<p>       3. The learned counsel then submits that the petitioners are unable to<\/p>\n<p>go even to Kozhikode as they apprehend danger.<\/p>\n<p>       4.     Detailed arguments have been heard. The statement of the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners were earlier recorded at Kozhikode and I am, in these<\/p>\n<p>circumstances, satisfied that the request of the learned Prosecutor can be<\/p>\n<p>accepted and the petitioners can be directed to appear before the<\/p>\n<p>Investigating Officer at the Police Club, Kozhikode at 11 a.m. on<\/p>\n<p>15.10.2007.\n<\/p>\n<p>       5. This Crl.M.C. is accordingly allowed and the above directions are<\/p>\n<p>issued.\n<\/p>\n<p>       6.    The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the<\/p>\n<p>Investigating Officer may be directed to afford protection to the petitioners<\/p>\n<p>Crl.M.C.No. 2495 of 2007<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                     3<\/span><\/p>\n<p>when they report for such interrogation. The needful shall be done by the<\/p>\n<p>Investigating Officer.\n<\/p>\n<p>      6. Hand over copy to the learned Prosecutor.<\/p>\n<p>                                               (R.
