Joseph, J.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>      Petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following<\/p>\n<p>reliefs:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>             &#8220;i)     Issue a writ of mandamus directing<\/p>\n<p>       respondents 1 to 3 not to harass the petitioner<\/p>\n<p>       unnecessarily.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>             ii)   issue a writ of mandamus directing the<\/p>\n<p>       first respondent to ascertain the facts from Alisha<\/p>\n<p>       who took asylum in the house of the petitioner,<\/p>\n<p>       whether she came on her own volition and to<\/p>\n<p>       investigate in accordance with law.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>      2. Briefly put, the case of the petitioner is as follows:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>      Petitioner is an aged man. It is stated that the mother of<\/p>\n<p>one Alisha filed a complaint alleging that she is under the<\/p>\n<p>custody of the petitioner&#8217;s son Anoop. Petitioner&#8217;s son is aged 26<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">WPC.23108\/2010 K                2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>years and is residing along with the petitioner. It is stated that<\/p>\n<p>the daughter of the defacto complainant, namely Alisha is aged<\/p>\n<p>above sixteen years and she came to the house of the petitioner<\/p>\n<p>on 11.07.2010 and alleged that she was brutally manhandled by<\/p>\n<p>her mother and she cannot tolerate the harassment from the<\/p>\n<p>defacto complainant, namely her mother and that she voluntarily<\/p>\n<p>came to the house of the petitioner due to acquaintance with<\/p>\n<p>Anoop and she took asylum in the house of the petitioner. It is<\/p>\n<p>stated that there is no wrongful or illegal confinement by the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner or his son abducted or kidnapped Alisha or committed<\/p>\n<p>offence punishable under Section 366(A) of the Indian Penal<\/p>\n<p>Code. However, the petitioner is harassed.<\/p>\n<p>      3. Learned Government Pleader on instructions submits<\/p>\n<p>that a crime has been registered as No.207\/2010 against the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner&#8217;s son. He would also submit that there will be no<\/p>\n<p>harassment against the petitioner and the police may be left free<\/p>\n<p>to investigate the said case. Learned counsel for the petitioner<\/p>\n<p>submits that as part of the investigation, the Officer may also<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">WPC.23108\/2010 K                3<\/span><\/p>\n<p>question Ms. Alisha. We record the submission of the learned<\/p>\n<p>Government Pleader and dispose of the Writ Petition.
