We tried to raise this issue on the Floor of this House, but unfortunately the House was adjourned. But at the same time, this was raised in the other House and the hon. Prime Minister himself admitted that he would extend all possible assistance to the State Government. But still no Central team was sent to Assam to visit and nobody has visited the State so far. I request that a Central team may be sent to the State to assess the reality, to makeex gratia payment of Rs.5 lakh to the next of kith and kin of the diseased persons and also to make suitable arrangement for their rehabilitation. <\/p>\n<p>13.14 hrs. <\/p>\n<p>The Lok Sabha then adjourned for Lunch till fifteen minutes <\/p>\n<p>past Fourteen of the Clock.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lok Sabha Debates Regarding Cyclone In Dhubri, Assam. on 7 May, 2003 Title: Regarding cyclone in Dhubri, Assam.
