A clash broke out between two communities here last night over celebration of the win of India over arch rival Pakistan in the Asia Cup in Bangladesh.
Timely intervention of the police brought the situation under control. Both sides pelted stones at each other and some people sustained minor injuries.
Police said the clash took place near Ayurveda college hostel under Kotwali police station area when a person objected over bursting of crackers in front of his house.
Later, on the intervention of the police the situation was stopped from turning ugly.
