Rao at Khukri guest house here and called him a terrorist.<\/p>\n<p>Chaudhary, a 1985 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, had then asked her bodyguards to thrash him.<\/p>\n<p>After the incident, she was sent to the Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Sciences (RINPAS) for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>She later lodged a complaint against her husband Amitabh Chaudhary, also an Inspector General of Police, for harassing and abusing her.<\/p>\n<p>She is at present posted in the vigilance wing of the Jharkhand State Electricity Board.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court in August 2008 had asked the CAT, Ranchi, to take up the case.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A tribunal here Thursday sentenced Jharkhand&#8217;s Inspector General of Police Nirmala Chaudhary to 15 days of rigorous imprisonment for ordering her bodyguards to beat up a judge in 2008.
