It was a barbaric act by the police against citizens who were protesting peacefully against corruption and black money,&#8221; said Jaitley, the leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha.<\/p>\n<p>Police cracked down on Ramdev and his supporters in New Delhi&#8217;s Ramlila Ground after midnight Saturday and forcibly removed the yoga guru from the site. He was then evicted from the capital.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Government did not act against Kashmir&#8217;s separatists who held meetings in the heart of Delhi. How can the attack on Ramdev be justified,&#8221; he asked.<\/p>\n<p>Hitting out at Congress leader Digvijay Singh for his &#8220;thug&#8221; remarks against Ramdev, Jaitley said: &#8220;The Congress leader using bad language against Baba Ramdev is known for his idioms that lower the level of democracy. These atrocities are going on under your rule. If you are not involved, then tell the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This was not an agitation against one party, this was not an agitation against one government.
