Chandigarh, Sep 4 Building on the nationwide support generated for Anna Hazare’s anti-graft campaign, Haryana’s Lokayukta has suggested a civil society committee to check corruption in the state, his spokesman said Sunday.<\/p>\n

Lokayukta Pritam Pal wants people belonging to every section of society – senior citizens, women, youth, rural and urban residents – to be included in the committee, the spokesman said.<\/p>\n

The committee could comprise 10 to 12 members, he added.<\/p>\n

The working of the committee should be fully transparent and apolitical.<\/p>\n

Pritam Pal has also invited suggestions from lawyers and district bar associations for the formation of the body.<\/p>\n

Pritam Pal, a retired high court judge, said that out of the 544 complaints against state government officials, only 133 were pending with his office.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
