{"id":13144,"date":"2011-09-07T17:33:11","date_gmt":"2011-09-07T12:03:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.in\/news\/?p=13144"},"modified":"2011-09-07T17:33:11","modified_gmt":"2011-09-07T12:03:11","slug":"further-hearing-on-janardhana-reddys-custody-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/further-hearing-on-janardhana-reddys-custody-tomorrow","title":{"rendered":"Further hearing on Janardhana Reddy&#8217;s custody tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hyderabad, Sep 7 (UNI) The Nampally Special CBI court today postponed till tomorrow further hearing related to the investigating agency&#8217;s petition seeking 15 day&#8217;s custody for former Karnataka BJP Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy and Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) Managing Director B V Srinivas Reddy.<\/p>\n<p>The CBI had filed the custody petition on Monday when the duo were brought to the court from Bellary on the charge of illegal iron ore mining.<\/p>\n<p>The court had directed the advocates of the accused to file counter petition by today.<\/p>\n<p>When the court took up the case this morning, Mr Janardhana Reddy&#8217;s advocates strongly objected to the CBI&#8217;s demand stating that report of the latter was incomplete.<\/p>\n<p>The lawyers appealed to the judge to ask the CBI to produce evidence related to the arrest of Janardhana Reddy and Srinivas Reddy.<\/p>\n<p>To this, the CBI advocates said &#8221;we are ready to produce evidence in the court if the hon&#8217;ble judge directs us.&#8221; After hearing the arguments from both sides, the court postponed further hearing till tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the court directed the CBI to file their counter petition by 1600 hrs today on the bail petitions filed by the advocates of Janardhana Reddy and Srinivas Reddy yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hyderabad, Sep 7 (UNI) The Nampally Special CBI court today postponed till tomorrow further hearing related to the investigating agency&#8217;s petition seeking 15 day&#8217;s custody for former Karnataka BJP Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy and Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) Managing Director B V Srinivas Reddy.
