{"id":13295,"date":"2011-09-20T00:43:41","date_gmt":"2011-09-19T19:13:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.in\/news\/?p=13295"},"modified":"2011-09-20T00:43:41","modified_gmt":"2011-09-19T19:13:41","slug":"janardhana-reddy-sent-to-judicial-custody-till-oct-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/janardhana-reddy-sent-to-judicial-custody-till-oct-3","title":{"rendered":"Janardhana Reddy sent to judicial custody till Oct 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, A special court today sent former Karnataka Minister and &#8216;Mining&#8217; Baron Gali Janardhana Reddy and Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) Director B Srinivas Reddy to judicial custody till October 3 in an illegal mining case.<\/p>\n<p>The six-day custodial interrogation of former Karnataka Minister and his brother-in-law Srinivas Reddy by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), concluded yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The agency produed the duo before the special court here at the Nampally Criminal Court Complex amid tight security in the morning.<\/p>\n<p>They were arrested by CBI from Bellary in Karnataka on September 5 in connection with the illegal mining case registered against OMC, owned by Janardhana Reddy, in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>They were brought to Hyderabad the same day and the court sent them to Chanchalguda Central Jail on judicial remand on the same day.<\/p>\n<p>The CBI picked them up for custodial interrogation for six days on court orders after two-days of hectic arguments on September 13.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, A special court today sent former Karnataka Minister and &#8216;Mining&#8217; Baron Gali Janardhana Reddy and Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) Director B Srinivas Reddy to judicial custody till October 3 in an illegal mining case.
