The workers protested the attack on Pawar and raised slogans supporting him.<\/p>\n<p>Pawar was Thursday slapped by Singh, who was angry over rising prices and corruption at a public function at the NDMC centre in the heart of the city. Dressed in a blue striped T-shirt, the turbaned Sikh unleashed a small kirpan as security guards tried to pin him down.<\/p>\n<p>Singh was arrested immediately and later charged with various offences, including assaulting a public servant, criminal intimidation and attempt to commit suicide.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Harvinder Singh, who slapped union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, was Friday sent to 14 days judicial custody by a Patiala House court.
