{"id":16582,"date":"2012-01-27T11:48:07","date_gmt":"2012-01-27T06:18:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.in\/news\/?p=16582"},"modified":"2012-01-27T11:48:07","modified_gmt":"2012-01-27T06:18:07","slug":"no-harmful-adulterants-in-delhi-milk-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/no-harmful-adulterants-in-delhi-milk-court","title":{"rendered":"No harmful adulterants in Delhi milk : Court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Delhi government Wednesday told the Delhi High Court that none of the 446 milk samples checked by its agencies from Jan 1, 2009 to Aug 4, 2011 were found to contain any harmful adulterants like detergent or urea.<\/p>\n<p>An affidavit filed by the department of prevention of food adulteration (PFA), Delhi, claimed that milk suppliers had followed the prescribed standards under the PFA Act. &#8220;No sample of milk was found having detergent-added urea, neutralizer or any other material injurious to health.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The reply filed by department of prevention of food adulteration, Delhi, claimed that milk suppliers have followed the prescribed standard under the PFA Act.<\/p>\n<p>The division bench of Acting Chief Justice A.K. Sikri and Justice R.S. Endlaw initiated the matter after taking note of a report in a national daily that said that 70 percent milk in Delhi was found to be adulterated.<\/p>\n<p>The affidavit filed by the government said: &#8220;A total of 446 milk samples were taken and analysed by the department of PFA from Jan 1, 2009 to Aug 4, 2011 out of which 379 were found conforming to standards and 67 were found non-conforming to standards and action has been taken against them by filing cases under PFA Act of 1954.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Delhi government Wednesday told the Delhi High Court that none of the 446 milk samples checked by its agencies from Jan 1, 2009 to Aug 4, 2011 were found to contain any harmful adulterants like detergent or urea.
