Mild tension prevailed at Vanasthalipuram Police Station limits when miscreants desecrated statue of Dr B R Ambedkar here today.<\/p>\n
Police said the statue which was installed by some dalit organization at Hasthinapuram Cross R oad two-days back, might have been damaged by miscreants last night.<\/p>\n
In protest against damaging of the statue and demanding action against miscreants, dalit organisations staged a dharna in front of the statue.<\/p>\n
Police officials rushed to the spot and have brought situation under control.<\/p>\n
