{"id":19590,"date":"2012-04-18T13:08:53","date_gmt":"2012-04-18T07:38:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.in\/news\/?p=19590"},"modified":"2012-04-18T13:08:53","modified_gmt":"2012-04-18T07:38:53","slug":"arrest-warrant-against-nupur-talwar-extended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/arrest-warrant-against-nupur-talwar-extended","title":{"rendered":"Arrest warrant against Nupur Talwar extended"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The special CBI court on Wednesday extended the non-bailable warrant (NBW) issued by it against dentist Nupur Talwar in connection with the Aarushi Talwar-Hemraj double murder case of 2008.<\/p>\n<p>The court extended the warrant after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sought extension of the same as the hearing resumed today.<\/p>\n<p>The CBI pleaded that since the non-bailable warrant issued earlier had expired today, a fresh NBW was needed to arrest her.<\/p>\n<p>Counsel for Nupur Talwar opposed the CBI plea on the ground that her bail application was pending before the Supreme Court, and the agency was restrained from arresting her.<\/p>\n<p>After hearing the arguments from both sides, the court extended the NBW issued against Nupur Talwar till April 30.<\/p>\n<p>Importantly, Nupur Talwar was not present in the court today.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The special CBI court on Wednesday extended the non-bailable warrant (NBW) issued by it against dentist Nupur Talwar in connection with the Aarushi Talwar-Hemraj double murder case of 2008.
