A Delhi court on Saturday granted bail to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player Luke Pomersbach who was arrested for allegedly molesting an American woman and beating up her fiance.<\/p>\n
Luke Pomersbach was granted bail on a surety of Rs 30,0000. Luke will have to surrender his passport. The court also directed Luke Pomersbach not to approach the complainant woman.<\/p>\n
The Delhi Police showed CCTV footage to metropolitan magistrate Navita Kumari Bagha as sought by the judge on Friday while granting interim bail to Pomersbach for a day till Saturday.<\/p>\n
The court had asked Delhi Police to submit visuals of CCTV cameras installed inside the five-star hotel along with the medical report of the victim’s fiance and Pomersbach.<\/p>\n
Pomersbach is alleged to have molested the woman at the ITC Maurya Hotel here early on Friday and beaten her fiance Sahil Peerzada when he tried to stop the player. Delhi Police registered a case of molestation against Pomersbach, who later was released on bail by a city court.<\/p>\n
The woman, Zohail Hameed, said Pomersbach forcibly entered her room and tried to molest her.<\/p>\n
RCB owner Sidhartha Mallya gets legal notice for tweets<\/p>\n
The American woman who was allegedly molested by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player Luke Pomersbach has issued notice to the team’s owner Sidhartha Mallya seeking his apology for his tweets questioning her character.<\/p>\n
Zohail Hameed has sought Mallya’s unconditional apology, her advocate Jitender Garg said.<\/p>\n
Garg said: “A legal notice is issued to Sidhartha Mallya for his twitter comment. We will wait for his reply. And if he refuses to apologise, we will file a defamation case against him.”<\/p>\n
On Friday, RCB owner Sidhartha Mallya tweeted: “The girl who is accusing Luke is saying he hit her ‘fiance’… what a load of f****** s***.
