{"id":21272,"date":"2012-06-28T13:49:30","date_gmt":"2012-06-28T08:19:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.in\/news\/?p=21272"},"modified":"2012-06-28T13:49:30","modified_gmt":"2012-06-28T08:19:30","slug":"yashwant-sinha-surrenders-granted-bail-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/yashwant-sinha-surrenders-granted-bail-2","title":{"rendered":"Yashwant Sinha surrenders, granted bail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha on Thursday surrendered to a local court and obtained bail in connection with a case relating to the anti-corruption agitation he had led during the erstwhile Madhu Koda regime in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Turning himself in before Judicial Magistrate Rajiv Ranjan&#8217;s court, Yashwant \u00a0Sinha moved a bail petition and the bail was granted on furnishing a bond of Rs. 5,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Former BJP president Yadunath Pandey, former BJP Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Maroo and party leader Sanjay Seth were the other leaders who surrendered along with Yashwant \u00a0Sinha and were granted bail.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The BJP had resorted to a 12-day anti-corruption stir during Koda&#8217;s chief ministership with senior party leaders each assigned to lead the stir on each of the 12 days.
