{"id":21495,"date":"2012-07-05T15:03:48","date_gmt":"2012-07-05T09:33:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.in\/news\/?p=21495"},"modified":"2012-07-05T15:03:48","modified_gmt":"2012-07-05T09:33:48","slug":"probe-report-on-narvekar-to-be-referred-to-law-ministry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/probe-report-on-narvekar-to-be-referred-to-law-ministry","title":{"rendered":"Probe report on Narvekar to be referred to Law Ministry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The probe\u00a0report on the alleged fraud committed by former<span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong> Goa Cricket Association President Dayanand Narvekar<\/strong><\/span>, will now be referred to the law ministry\u00a0for further action, a senior official said today.<\/p>\n<p>The two-member committee constituted by state government has already submitted its report to the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, which is a registering authority for the association.<\/p>\n<p>One of the committee members, Chetan Desai, had confirmed after submitting the report that they have indicted former GCA President Dayanand Narvekar for fraud.<\/p>\n<p>The details of finding are kept under wraps.<\/p>\n<p>Sources in the registration department said that the report would now be forwarded to the Law Ministry, which will have to take a call on what kind of investigations should be conducted against those found guilty in the report.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>&#8220;It may be a criminal investigation for financial fraud or disciplinary action. Everything depends on the Law \u00a0Ministry&#8217;s suggestion,&#8221;<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span> official said.<\/p>\n<p>The report, its learnt, has pointed to the financial irregularities committed in constructing the building for GCA by then President, Narvekar.<\/p>\n<p>GCA&#8217;s managing committee has already dethroned Narvekar replacing him with Vinod Fadke, who was vice president in the association.<\/p>\n<p>The Association will now have fresh elections to elect the President and managing committee.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The probe\u00a0report on the alleged fraud committed by former Goa Cricket Association President Dayanand Narvekar, will now be referred to the law ministry\u00a0for further action, a senior official said today.
