{"id":21633,"date":"2012-07-10T12:50:57","date_gmt":"2012-07-10T07:20:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.in\/news\/?p=21633"},"modified":"2012-07-10T12:50:57","modified_gmt":"2012-07-10T07:20:57","slug":"no-stay-on-new-reservation-policy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/no-stay-on-new-reservation-policy","title":{"rendered":"No stay on new reservation policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Chhattisgarh High Court<\/strong><\/span> today lifted the stay on the State Government&#8217;s <span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>new reservation policy<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>A Division Bench of Justices Abhay Manohar Sapre and G Minhajuddin<\/strong><\/span> here heard the matter and lifted the stay on the reservation policy it had granted in April, sources said.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0However, the Bench maintained that<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em> all the appointments made under the reservation \u00a0policy will be subject to the court&#8217;s final verdict on the matter.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0On January 18, 2012, the state government had issued an order related to reservation in <span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>government jobs and educational institutes<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0As per the order, the reservation for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>Scheduled Caste was reduced to 12 from 16 per cent and that for Scheduled Tribes was increased to 32 per cent.
