{"id":21641,"date":"2012-07-10T15:00:58","date_gmt":"2012-07-10T09:30:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.in\/news\/?p=21641"},"modified":"2012-07-10T15:00:58","modified_gmt":"2012-07-10T09:30:58","slug":"dm-murder-case-sc-upholds-conviction-of-bihar-mp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/news\/dm-murder-case-sc-upholds-conviction-of-bihar-mp","title":{"rendered":"DM murder case: SC upholds conviction of Bihar MP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800000\"><strong>Supreme Court<\/strong><\/span><\/span> has upheld the conviction and life term of former <span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Bihar MP Anand Mohan Singh<\/strong><\/span> in the murder of Gopalganj district magistrate in DM murder case.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Anand Mohan, former MP from Sheohar, was awarded life term under <span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Sections 302 (murder) and 109 (abetment of offence),<\/strong> <\/span>of inciting a mob to lynch Gopalganj district magistrate Krishnaiah in <span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>DM murder case<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Krishnaiah was lynched by a mob accompanying the cortege of a BPP leader Chotan Shukla on December 5, 1994. The officer was pulled out of a car, beaten up mercilessly and then shot dead in DM murder case.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Anand Mohan, was the leader of the then <span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Bihar People&#8217;s Party<\/strong><\/span> (BPP) at the time of the murder.
