The involved marine is<span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong> &#8216;Enrica Lexie&#8217;<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Judge P D Rajan<\/strong> <\/span>of the district and sessions court adjourned the trial to July 25 and rejected the defence plea for the translated version of the charge sheet in Italian language.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The judge observed that there was no provision under CrPC to provide translated version of charge sheet. The defence lawyers were well versed in Malayalam and English languages, the court pointed out. The court also quoted a Madras High Court order in this regard.<\/p>\n<p>The court said the service of three translators for the benefit of the accused had been provided.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The marines <span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Latore Massimilliano<\/strong><\/span> and <span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Salvatore Girone<\/strong><\/span> were present in court.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The marines, engaged for security of the <span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Italian vessel<\/strong><\/span>, were arrested on February 19 for allegedly opening fire and killing fishermen Jalestine and Ajesh Binki, who had ventured to sea from nearby Neendakara in a boat with nine others.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800000;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Kerala High court<\/strong><\/span> had on May 30 granted them bail with stringent conditions and they are now staying here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Italian marine case, in which two Indian fishermen were killed, is posted for July 25 by a local court of Kerala.
